The kids are going back to school soon, and I always love to get their teachers a gift to start the year off.  I am all about practical gifts, and honestly teachers love them the best!

This year I was thinking about a new gift idea, and decided to make them a Teacher Field Trip Survival Kit.  This kit was created with the idea that teachers have to deal with so much during field trips, and I want them to be prepared.  They can grab this kit and bring it in their car or on the bus, it should have everything that they need to handle those field trip emergencies.

Here is what I included in my kit:

    1.) Puracyn® Plus Duo-Care™ Wound & Skin Cleanser

Puracyn® Plus is an advanced hypochlorous solution that hydrates, cleans and moisturizes minor cuts, scrapes, lacerations, abrasions – it even works on insect bites and minor burns!

It is also gentle enough to be used around the eyes and mouth. When you clean first with Puracyn® Plus, you’re setting the stage for optimal healing of your wound.  It is non-stinging as well!

They also have a Puracyn® Plus Foot Wash & Skin Cleanser which I would include. It is safe, effective, FIRST step in first aid for foot sores and irritations, blisters, dry and cracked feet, and rashes.

You can save money on it too – Save $3 on your next purchase of Puracyn® Plus Duo-Care Wound & Skin Cleanser and Puracyn® Plus Foot Wash & Skin Cleanser!

Available in a 4 oz. spray bottle, in the first aid section at your local Rite Aid and Walgreens at the price of $14.99.

    2.) Band aids

Kids ALWAYS get hurt on field trips, so teachers always need extra bandaids.  I got these cute Tinkerbell and Toy Story ones at the Dollar store.

    3.) Garbage Bags

Garbage bags are always needed to collect garbage and sack lunches.  My kids typically have to bring a brown paper bag lunch on a field trip, so this can be helpful to collect all the garbage in one swoop.

    4.) Toddler Flushable Wipes

These can be used for the kids if you are far away from the bathroom and have to use the “outside toilet”, or if a child needs something to wipe their dirty hands.

    5.) Tissues

Runny noses and allergies can get the best of the kiddos, so having tissues on hand at all times is a necessity.

    6.) Hair Ties

It seems like my girls always need extra hair ties when going on a field trip.  This can also be used to hold together packets of papers, or any other items you get during your field trip.

    7.) Lysol Wipes

Self-explanatory – wipe down tables before they eat on them.

    8.) Thieves Spray

Spray it on toilet seats before the kid use it, it can help take promote good hygiene.

    9.) Nail Clippers

If a kid gets a hang nail, they can be painful.  Having nail clippers on hand can help!

    10.) Tweezers

Splinters can put a damper on anyone’s day, having tweezers can be very handy and save the day!

    11.) Hand Cream

Good for the teacher, they wash their hands ALL THE TIME. This can be handy especially if the field trip is in the cold weather and hands get chapped.

    12.) Flossers

I absolutely hate getting things stuck in my teeth, and it seems like every year when we go apple picking I get apple peels stuck in my teeth.  I figured this may be a good addition to the kit, if I have the problem I guess some of the kids do too!

    13.) Hand Sanitizer

You just never know what those kids are touching. This is a necessity.

    14.) Lavender Oil

Great for calming a child down.

    15.) Flashlight

This was on the list of a lot of teacher friends of mine. Losing something or being stuck in a dark museum without any light is hard, especially when a child loses a shoe or needs help.

I put all of the items in a bin that I got from the Dollar Store.  You could put it in a bag if you prefer that, but I like to be able to see where the item is that I need.

You can wrap it up with gift wrap, or just leave it as is.

Make sure that you enter the Puracyn® Plus Clean Start Sweepstakes on the Puracyn Plus Facebook page  for the chance to win one of four $250 gift card to help get started with your clean start project.
