  • Since I started teaching others about debt-free and frugal living, I get a lot of inquires asking for free coupons. I do not provide free coupons myself, but I decided to write up a blog post to explain the many ways how to get free coupons by mail. Once you know where to look, when, and how to request them, it’s really pretty easy. Plus there are great resources for printable coupons as well!

How to Get Free Coupons by Mail

Getting free coupons can be an exhilarating rush and there are so many ways to get them.

Many people try using coupons and give up, they become discouraged that coupons are not available for the foods or products they need.

There are definitely more coupons for junk food, but there are also so many companies that will give you free coupons just for doing simple tasks.

I thought I would teach you my favorite ways – how to get free coupons by mail.  But first, if you love coupons you will also love meal planning and cooking with dump recipes.

I also wrote a book teaching busy moms how to coupon, you can find that on Amazon here.

How can I get free coupons online?

1.) Sign up for Kellogg’s Family Rewards

Print off Free Kellogg’s coupons every month! Okay, so this may not technically be by mail, but you can print or use digital coupons for your favorite Kellog’s brand products to earn points and redeem them for rewards. Not only do you save money while shopping, but you can receive gift cards for stores and restaurants, enter sweepstakes, sport Kellogs apparel, and gear, or donate to charity.

    2.) Sign up for Vocalpoint

They love for you to share your thoughts through surveys, try exclusive products & offers, and provide feedback about your experience.

Many times they offer FREE coupons too. This is for women only, so get your wife to sign up if you are a man reading this.

    3.) Email companies directly

If you love a company, email them directly through the contact form on their website.  Give them a genuine compliment and ask them if they ever give out coupons for products. This works almost every time I call – give it a shot!

4.) Get printable coupons mailed to your home

Print free coupons from coupons.com which happens to be my favorite place to print online coupons.

5.) ‘Like’ your favorite brands on Facebook

At least once a week we see a company offering a FREE Sample or a FREE product coupon. These are typically mailed to you.

6.) Sign up for Birthday Freebies

Many companies mail out FREE product coupons around your birthday.  You can see a full list of which companies do this in my HUGE Birthday Freebies list.

    BONUS TIP:

Sign up for newsletters from companies that you like. They send out emails with free samples (which usually include coupons) and also printable coupons. Request as many free samples as you can as well!

What is the best free coupon app?

Here are 5 of my favorite free coupon apps, they are totally free and easy to use!

    1. Coupons.com. Features: The Coupons.com app provides access to hundreds of paperless coupons while you shop (enable your location for nearby offers) or at home before you go to the store. …
    2. The Coupons App. …
    3. Fetch Rewards
    4. Target (with Cartwheel)
    5. CouponCabin

How do extreme couponers get free stuff?

Extreme couponers get their coupons from a number of different sources, from coupon apps to websites, newspaper inserts, stores, and many other places. While they do get those high-value coupons, they also get regular coupons. They just know how to combine them effectively to maximize their savings.

Here is a list of companies that I’ve requested free coupons by mail from:

Start here and then work your way through your cupboards and see what foods you love! I did this when I first started eating gluten-free. It helped me find the foods that I loved and the ones I didn’t.

    • Apple & Eve  – Email them here
    • International Delight – Email them here
    • Enjoy Life Foods – Email them here
    • Barber Foods – Email them here
    • Blue Bunny Ice Cream – Email them here
    • Almond Breeze / Blue Diamond – Email them here
    • Bolthouse Farms – Email them here
    • Celestial Seasonings Tea – Email them here
    • Challenge Butter – Email them here
    • Chobani – Email them here
    • Domino’s Sugar – Email them here
    • Welch’s Grape Juice – Email them here
    • Glutino – Email them here

When I updated this post, I did want to respond to a lot of the comments where my readers shared concerns about the difficulty of getting free coupons by mail. They said they didn’t have printers or were tech-challenged to work their smartphones or many companies were stopping mail coupons in favor of printable or digital coupons now. Some of my great audience did respond that surveys or coupons helped them to get an inexpensive printer within a couple of weeks, and the printer has more than paid for itself! What a great suggestion!

Another idea I thought was helpful was a coupon swap with friends. If there are things you see coupons for but don’t use, consider exchanging them with friends. I can’t eat gluten foods, so if I see coupons for things like traditional pasta, I can give those to friends in exchange for their gluten-free brand ones.

While I can’t provide you with free coupons, I would love to know in the comments your favorite ways to receive FREE coupons in your mailbox.

  • I haven’t gotten anything good in a while, then all the sudden, this week, I got the free Kraft with Philly coupon, the free International Delight coupon, the free Uncle Ben’s Rice coupon, AND the free Snyder’s Pretzel coupon. Woo hoo!!!

      • So you say so Gina, but it is not true, I get copons all the time, and I do surveys, I make around $15 a week, so I bought a printer with that money on Amazon. You just have to do research, read what they say here and other places, be patience and go for it. If you don’t do nothing, you won’t get nothing

  • I signed up for both about a month ago and have yet to get an email about a coupon… I was able to signup for the free breve coffee creamer one but still haven’t received it. I am confused especially with Vocalpoint because I can’t ever find the offers and how to sign up to receive them.

  • On the 55 cent coupons for the breve creamer…does it say anywhere ‘do not double’? I had these, and used them tonight at Tops. They didn’t double and I didn’t realize it until after I left. I’m pretty annoyed and I didn’t think it said ‘do not double’ anywhere on this coupon. 🙁

  • Your website is…absolutely lovely! It is so well designed! Love all the content… I find myself reading one article right after the other! Thanks for all the tips and tricks. Coupons are something I LOVE. It’s like each one is a little winning lottery ticket to me.

      • I would like to know how to get coupons in mail. I have called some companiesI and they said they were out of them at the time.

    • Hello All
I don’t have a computer or printer. What I do is email the company (Domino sugar and Kings Hawaiian) are two that I can think of right now, that will send you coupons right away. I told them I don’t have printer. Blue Diamond almond milk is another.

    • If you start doing surveys that pay you, you could get a printer in less that 3 weeks. That’s how I bought mine, with survey money in the form of amazon cards, in less than 3 weeks I had mine.

  • okay, you say you can get them sent to you…. How? because i have been trying and trying for days now and nothing. I cant print any because I dont have a printer. and the coupons i find on the computer is the same ones over and over which is lame and im getting sick of it.

  • I still don’t see where to sign up to get coupons in the mail.

  • Here are some tips when couponing. I see some of you are struggling to get coupons. I’ve recently started couponing myself and did not have a printer when I got started. The best coupons are in the Sunday paper. You can print from coupons.com which is ok but I find the coupons in the paper to be much more valuable and useful for me. It’s worth $2-3 for the paper. I always pick up 3. If you don’t want to do that then you can print at your library or staples. Coupons.com will email you all the coupons you’re interested in and its easy to print at these places. Usually 10-20 cents per page. If you’re tight on money then make sure your only printing what you’ll use. Don’t click on every coupon when it’s for something like makeup and you don’t use makeup. Also, ask friends and neighbors for their coupon inserts, or the library for theres. If you know there are stores that have leftover Sunday papers you can ask them if you can buy them on Monday for a lower price. I do very rarely get coupons from Gilette, P&G, and a few others by mail. But that’s like 2 times per year (I dont think companies mail coupons like they used to. Everything is electronic now I guess they dont understand that not everyone can afford computers). I know the point of couponing is to save not shell out money but you have to put a little time and money out there to get started. I saved $70 last week and it cost me $5.50 for the coupons so it was worth it. A ton of online coupon sites are gimmicks where you have to play games or take surveys and somehow by the end they’re asking you to apply for a new master card. Just be careful! If it looks to good to be true it most likely is. Start out small, get a paper, see what you can do with the coupons and move on from there. A 50 page coupon binder doesn’t happen overnight. Most of all GOODLUCK ladies and gentlemen! I hope this helped.
