  • My kids always wake up SO early on Christmas morning, and we have the rule that they can get their stockings before we wake up. This usually means that my 8 year old wakes his younger sisters up at 5am, they sneak down the stairs, grab their stockings and head back up into their bedrooms.  They open their stockings and before I awake I find empty candy wrappers on their floor 🙁

This year we decided that we didn’t want them to do that, so we packed breakfast right in their stockings.  This way, they wake up and are already fed some breakfast snacks, and we get to enjoy our kids not crashing from sugar….

Some things to include in your breakfast stocking:

    • Juice Box
    • Applesauce Pouch
    • Dried fruit
    • Dried cereal
    • Granola bar
    • Raisins
    • Craisins
    • Apple
    • Orange
    • Banana

There are so many options to chose from – just pick some special items that your kids usually don’t get for breakfast and they probably won’t even notice there isn’t any candy in there!
