Fall is upon us, which means that it is time to start swapping out your summer shorts for cuddly sweaters and jeans.

It can get expensive if you need to update your wardrobe, so here are some ways on how to update your fall wardrobe for free.

1.) Sign up for Swagbucks

If you’re like me, you’re online all the time, whether at your desk or on your phone or tablet searching the web, watching videos, playing games and, of course, shopping! There’s this great site called Swagbucks that you can join for free and get free gift cards or cash for doing all of those things that you already do.

3.) Host a clothing swap party

What is a clothing swap party?  

You invite friends over, have some snacks and drinks, and plan to swap out fall clothing. Choose from scarves, accessories, sweaters, etc.  Everyone brings 1-2 items that are in great condition, then you all swap out your items.  Everyone leaves home with 2 new items!

4.) Host an at home party with CAbi.

CAbi is the largest social selling apparel company in the country.

5.) Swap clothing through Listia or sell your old clothing on places like Poshmark and Tradesy

Listia is a website where you can trade items.  If you list items, you earn points when someone wants the item you have listen. You ship it out to them and use the points you earned to ‘buy’ clothing for free!  This is a great way to clean out your house and get things you need in return.

Poshmark is an app that you can use to sell your gently used clothing.  It is hugely popular and very easy to use. Simply take pictures of items in your closet with the app, sell them, then use the money to buy new clothing!

Tradesy is a website where you can consign your name brand item online. If you have an expensive name brand item that you are no longer using, you can send it to Tradesy and they will pay you for your item. Use that money to buy yourself new clothing.
