I have never found a turkey meatballs recipe that I really liked that much, until I tried these! The addition of the spices and my homemade spaghetti sauce recipe, made them delicious!
I got the Turkey at ALDI using their 93% lean, so they are about as healthy as you can get! Needless to say, I was SHOCKED by how tender and full of flavor this turkey meatballs recipe is.
First, I recommend that before you start making this turkey meatballs recipe, that you take a look at my homemade spaghetti sauce recipe.
You can make an entire pot of sauce for under $5.00 and it will make these meatballs absolutely shine!
Okay, back to the meatballs….
I had Lauren take the first bite; she looked at me and said, “These are amazing. Like really really good!” They are so moist and flavorful that you won’t know you are eating something healthy!
And if you like this one, you might be interested in my 40 other slow cooker dump recipes! They are seriously amazing!
Have you grabbed my freezer meal plans, yet? I might be biased but I think they are pretty amazing! They have saved our dinner hour for years now. Check them out!

I used 3 Tablespoons of BBQ sauce instead of tomato sauce (because I didn’t know we were out), and they were delicious! In fact, when I used tomato sauce the 2nd time, my husband requested that I use BBQ if I made them again. I don’t serve with or simmer in tomato sauce, though.
We liked this recipe so much that I wrote it down for my recipe box instead of relying on PInterest. Thank you!
Do I put the tomatoe sauce in the meatballs or is that just if I want to simmer them at the end to use the tomatoe sauce?
Just if you want to simmer them at the end.
I tweaked the meatballs slightly with Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and a dash of Tobasco. My 100% Italian guy liked them VERY MUCH and nobody’s meatballs compare to his mama’s. Enough said,
How many meatballs does this recipe make? I noticed it serves 6, just wondering how many per serving. Thanks!
Hi Wendy – it really depends on how large you make the meatballs. With 1 lb. of meat, I usually make about 15 meatballs.
Thanks for this stellar recipe! Will be sharing on my blog and crediting you, hopefully can get some of my traffic over to you as well! 🙂 My husband LOVED these, his mom is an Italian immigrant and he said they could almost beat hers.
Cheers!
What are the macros for this recipe?
Is this really 1/3cup of dried parsley?
I made these this weekend. I had to alter the ingredients slightly as I didn’t have fresh garlic so I used a teaspoon of garlic powder and also added a teaspoon of onion salt, no parsley because I didn’t have any. No sauce because I used turkey gravy (everything else the same). I’m a novice when it comes to cooking, so although I over-cooked the meatballs the flavor was all there!!! Had them with egg noodles and the gravy. My son still ate them and we loved our dinner!!!
How many calories per serving?
I want to try this recipe this weekend for my granddaughter. (I am vegetarian) so since she is only 18 months, I’m going to make them italian wedding soup size. My question is, how long will they last in the freezer, since she will probably only eat about 5 at a meal. Thank you,

Thanks for the recipe! Made this tonight and really enjoyed it.
Amazing!! and so easy to make!!
Thank you very much 🙂
very good , I added fresh parsley same amount , added grated cheese and a little milk 1/4 cup to the mix before adding the turkey , and just a little more breadcrumbs b/c of the milk . easy good , Thanks
Thank you for this recipe. I followed your recipe and it came out perfect. I used pasta sauce instead of making my own
First time user of your site – I made the turkey meatballs exactly as the recipe is written and they are AWESOME! So tender and flavorful. Thank you. I am eager to try some of your other recipes.
Thanks so much, the best turkey meatballs !!!
I tried this recipe tonight because my husband just had a triple bypass and we have to change our eating habits. I did not have any dried parsley, so I subbed 1-1/2 tablespoons of dried Italian seasoning. I used 1/2 tsp. of Seasoned Salt,1/4 tsp of onion salt and a dash of worcestershire sauce. Baking the meatballs in the oven made it super easy and I used a store brand pasta sauce. My husband love the turkey meatballs!
Thanks for letting me know! Hope he is feeling better!

I really liked this recipe Seahawks & I always tweak recipes so added oregano & dash of paprika too. I did put sauce in meat ball mix which was fabulous n a touch of sweetener to kill acidity or any bitterness + added minced onion. I use Spanish onion & This time I used Vidalia (my favorite) because they don’t really repeat on me. I baked on big cookie sheet w/ parchment paper instead of foil. I turned meatballs during cooking to brown evenly. You can have w/ sauce & I’ve done that also, but I like them w/ ketchup n green beans or other veggies like cauliflower or zucchini like a mini plate of a snack/appetizer type food.
